Here are a few pics from the beginning of the night. As the drinks flowed, my camera snaps slowed. I have many mental snapshots, because the night was a blast. Live music sessions ended the night in the Lounge creating a great array of energy in the early hours of 2010. It was priceless....

Playing the drums in my little black dress will definitely be on my list as one of my favorite moments in 2010 !

An end to a beginning

It's a beautiful morning. It is probably the most perfect Monday that I have experienced in a long time.
How perfect my cat Meow lays curled up beside me in the most uncomfortable chair in the house. Yet, he manages to make it look like a seat in first class . Cats have a gift for that.
Fingazz lays asleep taking in a few more hours before going into the world on the last Monday of 2009.

I have not written in this blog for some time. It is the personal matters and experiences I have lacked to share. Overcome with constant maintenance on the gallery and gallery spill, I have let work take precedence over my experiences. It happens. ;)

This year has been one with so many twists and turns, and unexpected moments. It truly has been like no other. I understand that is a simple statement made year to year, but in my heart is has been the grandest in depth to me.

The people I have met and the experiences have touched my heart and changed me incredibly. I came to notice this especially this past week. I saw a lot this week.

As the year comes to an end we all collectively await and accept the new year. The new time clock of days to accomplish and live, even though we know it only brings us closer to our own demise.

We go in at midnight with hopes of more and better than the last, but subconsciously knowing that with time comes gain and loss. Change in friends, family, home, health...anything is possible.

Having been in a relationship for the past 10 years I feel in some way as 2010 approaches I have given birth through trials and tribulations and now a beautiful energy has matured and is ready to emerge.

The experience of watching my husband Fingazz grow into an amazing musical genius and build a music production company has been one of the most incredible experiences in my life. Not always easy for anyone, but so worth it.

Having the opportunity to travel the world with him has been priceless. I can only pray to experience many more years of these priceless moments by his side. This industry has allotted me to meet a unique, talented, and eclectic group of people, that ultimately have taken part in helping shape who I am and how I see the world.

There are no resolutions to be made.

There is knowing...

that my passion as an artist and to express myself as such will grow leaps and bounds.

my artwork will desire to blow your aka the worlds mind.

my motivation for getting out of bed is love and to be a 'perfect' partner.

I have a million goals in my head that I know will make me a better, unique, resourceful, intelligent person in society....they can be accomplished, and I have patience to succeed at as many as possible.

Overall, I want to say Thank you to all my friends and family. The people that support my husband, his art and mine as well.

I wish you happiness, success, and that our paths may stay aligned if it is in the stars.

Halloween was a blast. I think because it was so impromptu it made it priceless.

Fingazz and I kept it mellow and gave out candy to the neighborhood kids and had a few friends over later. It was so fun creating our "mini" haunted house that came with its very own black cat, Thanks Meow ;). There were a lot of cool and scary costumes. The only mishap was running out of candy a lil early. :( Scaring our friends was a blast. Can't wait for next year to do a haunted house and have many tricks and treats. Until next year....

Last night Fingazz and I had the opportunity to go to the Staples Center to see the Britney Spears Circus concert. Here are a few pics. The pics were taken on my iPhone, so they aren't the best. That is Britney in a huge frame! The production was amazing!

There were many circus acts going on throughout the night. On the trampoline was a woman with no legs! She was one of the acts that opened the show.

I had a blast with my Fingazz. It was our 'anniversary' night, so this impromptu date was perfect.

My first blog after my birthday, which was AMAZING and hella fun!!!! One of the best birthdays EVER!!! I will post pics as I get them. How did I forget my camera lame!!!
All that needs to be known is that Vegas was amazing. Body English, Voodoo, and Moon were a blast!!!! My husband and friends are amazing!!!!! Lots of AK77'S TO YOU ALL....YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE MUAH!!!! BESOS!!!! ALL THAT!!!!!

Now that I am back to reality, I have been going hard on Femme-bot Music. Fingazz and I have been in the studio at every possible squeezable moment! Let me just say this 6 year dream is coming true and it sounds soooo good. But you can't expect anything but that from the genius Fingazz, who is now taking his music into other galaxies and dimensions.

It's so original and really challenges me as an artist to step up my creativity on an unconventional canvas. Thank you Crewest for the invite. It's always an honor. Details coming soon... So Femme-bot and Alonys.art are the focal points right now, but that doesn't mean that Mad Colour or my other projects have waned! I want to do it all!

Nailpolish for now will be a blog to 'spew' controversial questions on society and entertainment until Diamonique and I figure out a format.( talking about celebs, ummmm waste of my brain cells, I'll leave that job to Perez, I need to hone my talents not distract them with 'gossip'.

Blogging..I call it therapy...;) Cheap therapy... ;) we are in a recession.

I actually can not wait to blog about the president and how I feel our country is sending mixed messages around the world. I love thinking ;)

The dying breed need to fight

There is a dying breed in our present day. It is not the polar bear, or a creature of the wild.

I sadly have to admit that the dying breed is "the talented artist".

Where has talent gone and when did we stop really wanting "real" celebrities and artists to look up to and be inspired by?

I am in no way trying to preach or hate , because I to am very guilty of sitting my ass on my couch and 'indulging' in the reality tv marathons. Watching any given episode up to 10 times or more a season. Or dancing in the club to a song I otherwise think is a waste to buy.

I too have been bit by the real swine flu "reality tv" and soul-less music. It has infected us all.

Each season there is a stronger strain than the last and more people become carriers, and fall victim.

Though the dying breed of true artists is dying in the art of cinema, the breed of dying artists that pains me most is music artists.

I love music, and I also believe everyone should follow their dreams.

But....there has to be a standard of excellence once again to belong to such a 'club'.

Stars are suppose to be hard to reach, not easy to touch or grasp as if you pick them from the ground.

Throughout the week I have scoured the internet with not much effort on my part, considering the insanity literally slaps you in the face upon logging on to see what a portion of the world is being exposed to.

All I can say is WOW! My brain exploded a few times, especially today when I read that Heidi Montag is the 2010 MJ !!! I understand supporting your loved one, but MJ...No comment.
I have to pick my brains up.

It is things like this that constantly remind me how insensitive we have become as a society, and how empty our shells will continue to transform into all for a 'twitter moment' of fame.

Every generation has music that makes you go mmmm, really? But usually there is a balance of true artistic creations influencing the masses to yang it out .

As a being in modern day society it disappoints me greatly that my generation is pre-maturely laying down to rest all the great things that influenced us in the arts. We have succumbed to the hands of technology and let the future of all things creative solely be influenced by empty sounds and soul-less emotions of expression.

One of the greatest gifts you can give to a generation is creative forward thinking infused with influential art, music, fashion, and cinema.

If you love the arts and entertainment as much as I do please make a vow to share all your favorites and influence the world through these things.

Now that's off my chest.... let's see today's generation get 'real' in Cancun.

These past 3 weeks, going on 4 have felt like one loooooong day. I love it! In those days we shot a video with 2 of my favorite people in the world....Diamonique and Danny Noriega!

Danny is an AI alum, but that is completely irrevalent to me. He is a talented, charismatic, beautiful person and artist and that is what makes him AMAZING! I was FINALLY happy to see Diamonique and her brother Danny work together, and I personally love what they have done! This summer single is hot and will have you asking...."Who gonna buy my drinks"?...LMAO!!!!

I have lived in my house for a few years now and today was the first time I actually picked flowers from my property. I was disappointed in myself that I have not been taking advantage of having fresh flowers.

They look sooo beautiful and have kept me serene all day. Sometimes the most extraordinary beauty is found in the most simple of things.

It's been a crazy few weeks...months...hell year so far. But when is it not, and I wouldn't have it any other way!!!!

Over the last few months I have been working on a podcast Nailpolish, still coming soon... traveled to Seattle, had 2 art shows. One at Lucky Strike Lanes and Lounge Hollywood and Crewest Gallery. And I saw some great shows including Diamonique and Danny Noriega...HOT!!!, all while partying like a 'baby'rockstar in training...lol.

Thank you to everyone that came out to the Opening Reception at Crewest on Saturday night! It is an amazing show and was an amazing opening. As an artist in the show it was a great feeling to see the turn out at the opening.

And as if having a popular turn out isn't enough the artwork in the show is really just so worth every step in the gallery. I will be adding pics very soon. But if you check out this video I found today that was taken at the show, you will def. get a sense of how much talent is within the showroom walls..

I also want to thank you so much for your support and interest in my work. In the whole month of May, my paintings "Operation" and "Life Support" will be on display at Canceptual [v.3] located in Downtown Los Angeles’s Crewest Gallery (110 Winston St., Los Angeles, CA 90013).
The exhibit runs thru May 31st.

If you were unable to make it to the Opening reception, you can always stop by the gallery during their business hours at:

Opening Reception is on May 2nd from 6pm to 9pm and the exhibit runs thru May 31st.

If you are unable to make it to the Opening reception, you can always stop by the gallery during their business hours at:

The Master Cleanse time is here again and I couldn't be more excited. I feel it is definitely time to take a 'time out' and allow a little control and clarity into my life. A few friends are planning to join us. I am always a fan of a big support group. Especially a "healthy one".

I am planning to keep a journal this time. I am also planning to do it 7-10 days. 10 is my ultimate goal. I have faith that I can do it. One day at a time.

The only thing that we are skeptical about is doing it in the powder form instead of the "real" way...I do feel like I am cheating a little bit, but hey I am a woman in a new age and fast and simple is the protocol. And besides the store was limited on all the ingredients we needed, so we said fck it, lets try it....

I am going to save sooo much money on food and "extras"....now that's what I call Stimulus!

SAD NEWS : I just found out about the Fedex plane that crashed at the airport we fly into in Narita, Japan. :-(

The title is simply the song that came on when I needed to title my blog...its a good song...check it out sometime. If you don't happen to on your own, I can almost guarantee if you are in my company you will hear it or I will put it behind a project. Showcasing/sharing new music is one of my favorite things to do ;-) Legally of course.

Time is flying by! I can't believe it will be March in only a few days. February went by so fast I can hardly recollect if it was great or not. It wasn't bad, so that's good. But what's NOT good is that I haven't been on my blog for a month!!!!! That's horrible!

MAD COLOUR NEWS!!!!!

I have been in LAB77 working on new purse designs....LOOK FOR MAD COLOUR LATE SPRING, EARLY SUMMER!!!!! The website is coming out amazing and purses will be available directly from the site! We are highly anticipating the official launch of MAD COLOUR. Check frequently for updates leading to the moment I know I have been waiting for!!!!

Along with the purses I have began exploring a lot of different styles and textures within my work. I hate posting works in progress, so I have no 'sneak peeks' right now. I will do all in my power to make it worth the wait.

Some friends and I are also in the process of developing a podcast. It is in the very beginning stages so I can not go into grave detail, but I will say that I am very excited and look forward to stepping into the land of podcasts and having opinions fly fly fly!!!! LOOK OUT!!!! LOL!

On that note it's time for another goose and cran.... ;-)

We have a few events coming up so I will do my best to document and bring the goodies to the blog!!!!

I MISS BLOGGING....

It feels like an eternity since I've had the chance to sit down and write on my blog. It can be taken as a good sign that I am extremely busy and doing well. I am thankful for that.

In the past weeks I had the chance to see the amazing SANTANA perform live at the NOKIA THEATRE. One of our amazingly talented friends ANDY VARGAS is the lead singer for the band and blessed us with the amazing opportunity to enjoy a priceless night of music. Thank you again Andy....it was a very memorable moment.

A few weeks later I had an even more surreal experience. We were invited to see NKOTB live at the STAPLES CENTER. Why was this surreal for me? Well flashback to my teenage years and my teenage walls and you'll know why....LMAO. It was a very entertaining concert. And if there is any thought that these guys are too old...you should just shut your mouth. These guys rocked the stage for 2 hours! They did the old the new and everything in between...and they sang their asses off! Honestly, I was happy to see them now, rather than as a pre-pubescent screaming teenager.

Nokia was filled with screaming women with all their old skool buttons, and tee-shirts dusted off and you could never tell this group was absent on the scene for 15 years.

Before the show we went backstage and my teenage dreams and wishes came true....I had the chance to meet Donnie and Jordan and we saw Danny, but he was tied up with fans. 30+ yr. old groupies are fierce...its all the practice...lol. They both were very nice and all I could think as I was standing next to Jordan was if you only knew...lol. And more importantly...Thank God you don't know....lol!

As a teenage girl watching all my friends go to the shows and hearing the stories of how joey was nice, and soo and so did this, I would have never thought in a million years I would know 15 years later....

wow...life is strange.

Aside from the amazing concerts...life is amazing and busy busy busy.

Mad Colour is growing and I am so excited to launch it. This is where the old age saying "Patience is a virtue" comes in. Within my patience period I have begun working with some of the most amazing and talented business women to help me take Mad Colour to the next level! The MAD COLOUR team is a fierce team!!!!!! World look out!

I am very excited about the next few weeks. My husband and I will have finished our very first Master Cleanse. Which by the way has me feeling amazing! I really thought it was going to be torture. No food, no alcohol, no NOTHING, but spicy lemonade, special tea, and sea salt water every day for 5 days!!! I will NEVER make it I thought....but I am on day 2 and I feel great and look forward to proving I have the discipline. With the cleanse we are creating a healthy relationship inside and out. I am so excited. Next we'll celebrate his birthday, which will be an amazing night! I can't wait.

Obama is Not the first black President.

Vaughn's research shows Jefferson was not the only former black U.S. president. Who were the others? Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Warren Harding and Calvin Coolidge. But why was this unknown? How were they elected president? All five of these presidents never acknowledged their black ancestry.

Jefferson, who served two terms between 1801 and 1809, was described as the "son of a half-breed Indian squaw and a Virginia mulatto father," as stated in Vaughn's findings. Jefferson also was said to have destroyed all documentation attached to his mother, even going to extremes to seize letters written by his mother to other people.

President Andrew Jackson, the nation's seventh president, was in office between 1829 and 1837. Vaughn cites an article written in The Virginia Magazine of History that Jackson was the son of an Irish woman who married a black man. The magazine also stated that Jackson's oldest brother had been sold as a slave.

Lincoln, the nation's 16th president, served between 1861 and 1865. Lincoln was said to have been the illegitimate son of an African man, according to Leroy's findings. Lincoln had very dark skin and coarse hair and his mother allegedly came from an Ethiopian tribe. His heritage fueled so much controversy that Lincoln was nicknamed "Abraham Africanus the First" by his opponents.

President Warren Harding, the 29th president, in office between 1921 and 1923, apparently never denied his ancestry. According to Vaughn, William Chancellor, a professor of economics and politics at Wooster College in Ohio, wrote a book on the Harding family genealogy. Evidently, Harding had black ancestors between both sets of parents. Chancellor also said that Harding attended Iberia College, a school founded to educate fugitive slaves.

Coolidge, the nation's 30th president, served between 1923 and 1929 and supposedly was proud of his heritage. He claimed his mother was dark because of mixed Indian ancestry. Coolidge's mother's maiden name was "Moor" and in Europe the name "Moor" was given to all blacks just as "Negro" was used in America. It later was concluded that Coolidge was part black.

The only difference between Obama and these former presidents is that none of their family histories were fully acknowledged by others. Even though Obama is half-white, he strongly resembles his Kenyan father. And not only is Obama open about his ancestry, most people acknowledge him as a black man, which is why people will identify Obama, if elected, as the first black president of the United States.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things. We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes.

These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill.

It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete.

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever. Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember to give a warm hug to the one next to you because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent. Remember, to say, "I love you" to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it.
A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep
inside of you. Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again. Give time to love, give time to speak and give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind...

OUR ANNIVERSARY...RUBBED THE RIGHT AND WRONG WAY....

As some of you might know, my husband Fingazz and I have worked tirelessly to keep on the grind in the ever changing entertainment industry over the past years. Him with his music and I with my art, attempting to bridge any gaps the two might have between them.

The last few months have been amazingly busy and exhilarating, especially with the start of our new company MAD COLOUR....and with our anniversary approaching in celebration of 8 years of marriage we were very excited to hit a spa for the first time ever, to celebrate all the moments of the past and unwind for the ones in the future.

PALM SPRINGS HERE WE COME!

With our limited schedule Fingazz was able to book us a day/night at the Las Palmas Rancho Mirage Spa. Even though we would have less than 24 hours to enjoy all the resort promised we were still very excited and optimistic about the relaxation that was in store for us.

schedule : leave home the latest 1 pm
arrive and check in spa before 2pm
2pm couple massage
4pm alonys' facial
dinner and drinks
pool and jacuzzi
whatever the FCK we want to do...WE'RE CELEBRATING 8 YEARS OF MARRIAGE!!!!

Now lets see what really happened....

arrive and check in...check out room really quick....head to spa....

are we in heaven or what? 80 minutes after my first massage I realized the beauty of a good rub down ;0) Why haven't I ever taken part in this oh so necessary ritual? If my massage felt like this what was my facial going to be like? 50 minutes later, I got my answer. AMAZING! I honestly loved the facial more and with the combination there couldn't have been a pinch of stress or anxiety left in my body...

Both Fingazz and I were very happy we made the decision to 'indulge' in the treatments of the Las Palmas...until....

a few cocktails later we decide to return to our room and freshen up for dinner. To our surprise it appears that someone has been in our room while we have been getting our treatments. We find a cup crushed on the floor with napkins stuffed in it outside the double door that connects our room to the guests next door. After careful inspection of our belongings we conclude nothing has been taken, but there still is the unsettling feeling that someone had been in our room. The staff tells us they will figure it out. We decide to get ready for dinner and try and not let this ruin our night or stress us out.

To our disappointment all they offer is a round of complimentary drinks. I guess they figured one drink each would help us forget our unexpected violation. mmmmm NOT SO MUCH! Knowing they "fcked" up for lack of a better word, they come to our table what seems like every 5 minutes and ask "is everything okay here"...can i chew my food please...geez and yes, nothing has changed in the last 5 minutes since you last came.

Dinner was delicious despite the short time frame we had...everything closed at 10pm! Damn what is this! A little buzzed we decide our only choice is to go back to the room....time to RAID THE MINI BAR and go in the pool....

NOT SO MUCH....POOL IS CLOSED! ACCESS DENIED! WOW!

Last option...rent a movie.

ring ring...knock knock.....its 1:30am. We answer the phone, its the front desk..."please open your door, security is at your front door"...

"what?" (Take in mind we are both half asleep)

open the door. "yes sir, we're gonna need you to turn the tv down we have had noise complaints regarding your room".

"ARE YOU FCKIN SERIOUS?!" WOOOOOOW!!!!! By this time I am soooo HOT... what the hell is this!

First off its 130am...second how many times do people usually fall asleep with the tv on, especially in a hotel, ALL THE TIME!

THANK YOU FOR THE 2AM WAKE UP CALL....NOW WE CAN'T GO BACK TO SLEEP!

To put the icing on our Las Palmas Spa cake we get awakened by the 2 Brady Bunch families on either side of us at 7:30 in the morning. Screaming kids, screaming mothers who obviously have NO CONTROL over anything, extremely LOUD television, and what ever else goes alongside having a family vacation at a spa. WHO DOES THAT!

Overall I have to say I am happy I had the opportunity to spend some time with my husband for our anniversary. I do have a newfound love for massages and facials and would love to have the opportunity to have them be apart of my life more. I DEFINITELY WILL NEVER EVER EVER GO TO THE Las Palmas Spa. It is like summer school. WAY TOO MANY KIDS FOR ME. Kids are the future and they are great BUT I don't believe they belong at spas. Go to Raging Waters, take advantage of the family discounts to Magic Mountain where kids/families are encouraged to be loud, and its not deemed rude or obnoxious. Save the SPAS for the adults that want to feel like adults and relax without curfew.

My review on Las Palmas....mmmmm I def. don't recommend staying, especially if you only have a day and kids running around isn't your thing. Their problem solving skills def. need some work. If it wasn't for my anniversary and me wanting to look on the bright side I def. would have nothing good to say about my overall stay. Do your self a favor like we are next time....next time we need a rub down we will be keeping it local and heading to the Ivy....Glen Ivy.

NY STATE OF MIND....

I wish to take you on a journey that I believe everyone should take at least once if possible...NYC. I always heard alonys you will LOVE New York. Alonys, I can't believe you've never been to New York was often said in conversation. I sit here now proud to say I have been to the city and I love it very much. We were fortunate to experience different parts of New York either by foot, cab, or courtesy of our friends T-Weaponz (IZ,ARK,and PSALMS). It truly was an amazing experience.

I tried to take notes as I often attempt to do while traveling. After a few too many hangovers the details start to fade away....good times...good times.

Our trip started at midnight...I really did have to pinch myself a couple times while boarding the plane. It didn't seem real WE WERE FINALLY GOING TO NYC! Fingazz and I always wanted to go, and we finally were about to have that moment.

No trip can begin without a drink at the airport before your flight. Unfortunately the only place available served beer exclusively and just our luck it was flat . I almost wished I hadn't given into the temptation. Too late. I have committed and the only thing that will redeem this moment is a vodka tonic on the plane. Drink up.

MILE HIGH CITY HERE WE COME!!!! I WILL START BY SAYING I LOVE ONTARIO AIRPORT. WHICH IS WHERE WE FLEW FROM FOR OUR TRIP TO DENVER, COLORADO.

EVEN THOUGH IT WAS EARLY I COULDN'T RESIST A VODKA TONIC ON THE PLANE. WE LANDED AT 9AM TO BEAUTIFUL WEATHER...THANK GOD, BECAUSE THE DAY BEFORE IT HAD SNOWED, AND FROM THE PLANE IT LOOKED LIKE ANTARCTICA.

A QUICK NAP...AND THEN GRAB A BITE TO EAT AT A JAPANESE STYLE RESTAURANT. SAPPORO, SAKE, LIGHTLY SALTED EDAMAME, AND A DELICIOUS SALMON BOWL, FUELED ME FOR THE NIGHT AHEAD...PARTY!

ORIGINALLY WE HAD PLANNED TO GO TO THE NIGHTCLUB CHURCH, BUT INSTEAD OPTED TO HANG OUT AT FINGAZZ STUDIO SESSION @ SIDE 3 STUDIOS WITH 17 YEAR OLD DENVER RECORDING ARTIST HUNTER aka BABY BECKHAM aka HB. THE SESSION WAS A LOT OF FUN AND HIS FAMILY IS SUPER COOL! I WISH THEM ALL GOOD THINGS.

FRIDAY AFTERNOON WE WENT TO NOODLES AND CURED OUR HANGOVERS. I HAD SOME BOMB ASS MAC AND CHEESE, ALONG WITH GRILLED CHICKEN AND OF COURSE POWERADE! MY DAY WAS SAVED...ROUND 2 ANYONE?

THAT NIGHT WE MET UP WITH SUZETTE AND TOMAS, WHO OWN SANTIAGO'S (MORE ABOUT THAT LATER). WE MET UP AT TED'S MONTANA GRILL. I TRIED THE BEER CAN CHICKEN AND GARLIC MASHED POTATOES( OF COURSE I HAD TO ADD CHEESE..YUM), AND BROCCOLI. OVERALL I THOUGHT THE CHICKEN WAS TOO SALTY AND DRY IN SOME PARTS. THE BROCCOLI WAS DISAPPOINTINGLY UNDERCOOKED....BUT MY VODKA TONICS WERE GREAT. ITS HARD TO BE DISAPPOINTED WITH A GOOD VODKA DRINK! GREY GOOSE BABY! THE SERVICE WAS GOOD AND OUR SERVER HAD A OUTGOING PERSONALITY. THE DEFINITE WINNER OF THE NIGHT WAS THE BISON PRIME RIB. WE ARRIVED AT LAX, CHECKED IN WITH EASE. THE ONE BAG RULE STILL LEFT US EACH OUT OF $50 EACH PERSON. AMERICAN AIRLINES IS CLEANING UP AT THE CHECK IN! I TRIED TO PACK JET-SET, BUT 2 WEEKS IS A LONG TIME TO NOT HAVE SOMETHING....I DEF. WILL WELCOME THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR MORE PRACTICE.

WITH OUR BOARDING PASSES AND CARRY ON LUGGAGE WE HEAD TO OUR GATE WHICH SO HAPPENS TO HAVE A SPORTS BAR DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM IT. WITH 40 MINUTES UNTIL BOARDING TIME WE AGREE WE ARE DRINKIN' FA SHO!!!!!GREY GOOSE AND TONICS PLEASE! PRE-PARTY BEFORE THE 11 HOUR FLIGHT!

THE FIRST STOP ON THE TOUR WAS THE CITY OF HIRATSUKA. WE ARRIVED 3 HOURS LATER AFTER LEAVING THE AIRPORT. AFTER CHECKING INTO THE HOTEL EVERYONE CHANGED AND GOT READY FOR DINNER. I WAS TOO EXHAUSTED AND DECIDED TO STAY AND REST AT THE HOTEL. I WAS SAD I MISSED THE FIRST DINNER OF THE TOUR. I HEARD IT WAS OISHI, AND EVERYONE HAD TO TAKE THEIR SHOES OFF IN THE RESTAURANT. WE ATTEMPTED TO GO AGAIN, BUT IT NEVER HAPPENED. MAYBE NEXT TIME.

HIRATSUKA WAS HOME OF THE FIRST NIGHTCLUB. WE STOPPED HERE 2ND THE LAST TOUR. SHOW TIME IN JAPAN IS TYPICALLY AROUND 2:30 OR 3 AM....JUST THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF HOME. IN HIRATSUKA DJ HI-NOTE GOT THE CHANCE TO SPIN A SET. IT WAS TIGHT. DON WON'S "DRINK UP" AND MEECH'S "DON'T HATE" BANGED LOUD IN THE SPEAKERS. THE V.I.P. WAS STOCKED WITH GREEN TEA, SHOCHU, AND CIGARETTE SMOKE FLOATED LIKE CLOUDS ABOVE OUR HEADS...I PREFERABLY SMOKED SEVEN STAR, CURRENTLY MY FAVORITE JAPANESE CIGARETTE. I BELIEVE OUR CHIBA EARLY MORNING EPISODE CONSISTED OF A McDONALDS RUN. MOS BURGER WAS OUR FIRST CHOICE, BUT WOULDN'T BE OPEN UNTIL 730AM, 30 MINUTES TO LONG FOR US TO WAIT. BY THE WAY MOS BURGER KICKS MICKEY D ASS, BUT I DO HAVE TO MENTION THAT HI-NOTE DID FIND THE HEALTHY McWRAP AT McDONALDS.

IN CHIBA WE WENT BOWLING, MET AMAZING FANS, AND ENJOYED ITALIAN FOOD. IT WAS THE WORST GAME I EVER BOWLED, BUT THE BEST LOOKING BOWLING SHOES I'VE EVER WORN! AIR HOCKEY AGAINST DIAMONIQUE, MAN WAS SHE GOOD! I LOVE A GOOD AIR HOCKEY COMPETITOR.

AT THE CHIBA SHOW BACKSTAGE WE MET JAPANESE SINGER YUUKI FLAVA, AND FEMALE DJ CHISATO. DJ FILLMORE AND DESTINO WERE IN THE HOUSE, ROCKING THE SHOW....OUR SHOW TIME WAS AT 3AM, PRIME CLUB TIME! MORE SHOCHU, GREEN TEA, SEVEN STARS, AND GOOD TIMES. IT WAS THE 2ND SHOW, WE WERE DEFINITELY READY TO PARTY!

IN OUR DOWN TIME WE VISITED SHIBOYA AND ITS BEAUTIFUL LIGHTS, HIGH FASHION SHOPS, AND FASHIONABLE BEAUTIFUL WOMEN. AS WE ARRIVED AND WALKED DOWN THE STREET WE HEARD A FINGAZZ TALKBOX SONG PLAYING IN THE DISTANCE, COMING FROM A STORE. THAT WAS HELLA TIGHT! WE HAD THE CHANCE TO GO TO TOWER RECORDS. IT WAS 6 FLOORS. EACH GENRE OF MUSIC HAD ITS OWN FLOOR THAT YOU GOT TO BY ESCALATOR. ARTISTS KEVIN MICHAEL AND JAPANESE GROUP ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION WERE HIGHLY PROMOTED. WHILE IN JAPAN WE RE-VISITED THE HOMIE BRAND STORE. I ENJOYED A RED BULL AND VODKA AT THE BAR. WE WERE GIVEN CUSTOM HOMIE BRAND SHOCHU, WHICH WAS PERFECT FOR THE AFTER PARTY! THOUGH I'VE GOTTEN BETTER AT DARTS, I DIDN'T END UP PLAYING AT THE STORE. NEXT TIME. WE MET CHOLO WHO IS A 13 YEAR OLD RAPPER. SOOOO CUTE! HE GAVE US A 'SNEAK PREVIEW' PERFORMANCE IN THE STORE OF HIS SONG HE WAS GONNA PERFORM AT THE SHOW THAT NIGHT. IT WAS PRICELESS! HE LATER DID AN INTERVIEW WITH FINGAZZ IN OUR HOTEL LOBBY. THE MOST 'AMERICAN' EXPERIENCE I HAD WAS WHEN WE WENT TO ONE OF MY FAVORITE CITIES, YOKOHAMA. 50 CALIBER TOOK US TO A CLUB NEAR THE MILITARY BASE. IT REMINDED ME OF SAN DIEGO SOOOO MUCH...ANYONE REMEMBER BLUE TATTOO? IS THAT PLACE STILL AROUND?! IT WAS THE FIRST PLACE THAT ONLY SERVED AMERICAN ALCOHOLIC DRINKS. THERE WAS A SPECIAL PERFORMANCE BY SOME DANCERS FROM MISSY ELLIOT VIDEOS. AFTERWARDS THE CROWD WENT WILD TO CHING-A-LING. ONE OF THE THINGS I LIKED ABOUT THIS CLUB THAT A LOT OF JAPANESE CLUBS HAVE ARE LOCKERS FOR YOUR PERSONAL ITEMS. HOW CONVENIENT!!!

WE'VE ALL RETURNED HOME AND LEFT OUR JET LAG DAYS BEHIND. I DEFINITELY FELT MY JET LAG THIS TIME. AT THE AIRPORT AS WE LEFT 50 CALIBER AND KEVIN AT THE GATE, I KEPT LOOKING BACK WITH FEELINGS OF SADNESS CONSUMING ME AS I WALKED THROUGH THE INSPECTION LINES. LAST NIGHT WE WENT TO CRASH MANSION IN LOS ANGELES TO SEE MEECH OPEN FOR THE BABY BASH AND PITBULL SHOW.

OVERALL I THOUGHT CRASH MANSION WAS PRETTY TIGHT. ITS FCKIN ENORMOUS! AND THE STAIRS DEF. BUST A LOT OF ASSES...=) EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE OUT OF GREY GOOSE, YOUR GIRL STILL GOT LOOSE WITH THE BELVEDERE AND TOOK MANY SEVEN STAR BREAKS! BAD ALONYS!

we'll call this moment play by play in honor of the Padres and Dodgers games that took San Diego city by storm this past weekend. I haven't been to San Diego in quite a while and so each time I go, I really do feel like a tourist...I actually kind of love that. That means I love my life.

April 4th, 2008
We headed to San Diego to see Meech , Don Won. and El Cajon Tez perform. They were scheduled to open up for Pitbull at House of Blues San Diego.

Before the show we checked into the Courtyard Hotel. It was conveniently right next to the H.O.B. Fingazz couldn't have booked a better hotel..it was perfect.

We had a little time to kill before the show so we walked the downtown city streets and headed two blocks to Horton Plaza. Talk about a flashback!!! My favorite store we ended up was House of Flava. Even though there was a lil' too much Ed Hardy gear for my taste, the vibe, music, and employees were all stylish and helpful. I did eye a few tokidoki items though.

By the time we leave Horton Plaza , I am def. ready for a drink! We head back to the hotel and quickly change. We meet in the lobby, and decide to grab a few drinks at the hotel bar. While enjoying our Sapphire tonics and making conversation the bartender informs us that the hotel use to be a bank in the 1800's and the 14th floor use to be a shooting range! Now thats historical information I like to hear. The architecture was amazing!!!! The elevator doors and walls BEAUTIFUL!

FAST FORWARD....the shows were great. After party...not so much...unless you call Fuddruckers and a new castle an after party! Good night!

Good Morning...its time to see the triple 3. Amy, Danielle, and my mom. We start the early morning off with a phone call to my friend Amy who I have not seen in close to 3 years possibly. We use to be inseparable! I was seriously craving a Bloody Mary...Amy agreed sounds great. But first we head to the 4th floor of her loft apartment that she shares with her fiance` Brandon! This place is amazing. I know I could never live there, too much drunken fun....shouting at people on the street and people watching would truly highlight some immature behavior! fck it! =)

Fabulous downtown loft apartment with photography studio...AMAZING!!!! We end up at Rockin' Baja Lobster . The bartender makes me a very very very good bloody mary with grey goose of course...yummy! 2 of those later its time to switch it up to hornitos margaritas, lots of chips and salsa, food and parliament smoke breaks....we are having fun and are FADED! Thank you Carlie! I love being drunk in San Diego with good friends! Todd and Linda met us and so it was for sure a day to remember. Though we wanted to make it last forever it was time for Amy to go to work, and us to make our way to O.B. to meet the beautiful Daisy!

O.B. here we come. First stop...Chris' Liquor! I can't tell you how good the deli smelt in there...yummy!

Dani, Daisy, Amber, Nick....we have finally made it with a 12 pack in hand...Corona anyone? It was so amazing to meet 8 month old Daisy. My very good friend Dani's lil angel. We had a great time laughing, catching up, and taking many many pictures and video. Next time we go to O.B. we def. have to see Miss. O.B's "O.B. Star" in front of Tony's. I can't wait! Love you. Sending many alonys kisses.

Save the best for last....my beautiful mother. It was crazy to think this was the first time we saw our mom this year.....she looks beautiful and I was happy to see her smile. Fortunately I saw a lot of her smile over dinner at On The Border for Patron margaritas and family laughs. We went back to her house for conversation, pictures and video. I got to see my old cat Squint who I miss very much. His color scheme is the exact opposite of my Meowzer....kisses mom and Squint and to the ECV.

Wake up to our good friend 50 Caliber in the living room! We were suppose to chill when we returned from San Diego, but I was passed out when we arrived home around 2am....my apologies again....

Sooooo its Sunday morning and I appear to be ready for round 3....we'll call this Lab77 moment champagne, coronas, darts, lakers, and owning the night as in the movie "We Own the Night".

I spent the day with Fingazz and my good friends and family, "the veau" , bilal-er, mac-attack ;0) , malik, and 50! We drank some, ate some, smoked some (i love 7 stars)...watched some lakers....I actually took a cat nap during that and the movie akira.... gotta watch that still. But I was awake enough for "We Own the Night", which was a really good movie, but the end was a lil' disappointing. Joaquin was good in it. But he's pretty much always good. I can't really say I've seen him in a bad movie. He is def. one of the great actors of our time. An intelligent actor. He's one of those people you wonder if their presence would be intimidating.

Over all the weekend was packed with a lot of "catching up"and reuniting. It was a good experience. I probably drank way too much...but the damage is done....I was having fun at the time so thats all that matters. It was nice to spend time with Fingazz but we didn't have as much as we had hoped or anticipated. Maybe next time. We leave for Denver in a few weeks to visit our friends Melissa and D....aka Melissa Lujan and "Project D". I think we will have the chance to party at Church and check out a new club they told us about. It should be a lot of fun...so imma' try to lay low until then because I know once the plane lands its on.....

oh wait tomorrow night Meech performs at Crash Mansion in Hollywood...Watch out!

Bye Bye April fools...hello new day....

I have been trying to figure out how to start this blog for days. What should I write? What should I say? How much vs. how little....the list goes on. Then I decided to STOP and START again minus all misconceived ideas of what I wanted to say or to whom I wanted to say it to....and now I am finding this to be easy....breathe.

One of my most recent iTUNES purchases sets the mood for this moment in Lab77 with Fleur blanche by Ortsten off the Hotel Costes X album. I stumbled upon it as I do most good music. Life is nothing without music. I know of few things that possess such power....

Japan was amazing. Japan is even more amazing in my heart and mind than before. I know She knows...at this moment that there is nothing like her and never will be. I am in love with an idea.
